Nitrous oxide, if you want it

The problem: nerves, or a strong gag reflex.

A colourless gas you simply breathe. You stay in control, breathing on your own. It takes effect within minutes, the depth can be changed at any time, and there is no hangover afterwards. Ask for a five-minute trial first.

02

See what we see

The problem: being told about a tooth you cannot see.

An intraoral camera shows you clear, enlarged images of your teeth and gums. Digital x-rays use about one-sixth of the radiation of film, appear on a monitor, and can be sent straight to a specialist or your insurer.

03

Sterilised before every use

The problem: the part of a dental office nobody shows you.

The team follows OSHA, EPA and CDC procedures. Reusable instruments, handpieces included, go through an autoclave, and gloves, masks and disposables are used for every patient. Ask about it, and you will get a straight answer.

Cosmetic work, explained plainly.

Porcelain Veneers

Thin ceramic shells bonded to the front of the teeth, designed for each smile individually. Highly resistant to coffee and tea stains, and with care they last well over a decade.

Teeth Whitening

Ask at any appointment. Your custom trays are usually ready in a day or two, worn a few hours a day, and only occasional top-ups are needed afterwards.

Bonding

Resin sculpted onto a chipped, cracked or discoloured tooth, often in a single visit. It typically lasts three to five years before it needs repair.

Inlays & Onlays

For when more than half of a tooth’s biting surface is damaged. Two visits, bonded in place, and they can last from 10 to 30 years.

Dentures

Dentures, made and looked after here.

A denture is only as good as its fit, and the fit changes as your gums and bone do. So the work carries on after the day you get it, with an annual denture examination to keep it right.

  • Immediate denturesMade from impressions taken beforehand and placed at the extraction appointment, so you are never without teeth.
  • Implant retained denturesTwo implants in the lower jaw and a denture that snaps onto them, far steadier when you chew.
  • Partial denturesMetal or acrylic, designed so chewing forces spread evenly over the teeth you still have.
  • Relines, rebase and repairsA hard reline every two years, soft liners for tender gums, and many repairs done the same day.

After going to the same local dentist for six years until they retired, my husband and I just had our first visit here for a routine exam and cleaning. The receptionist, X-Ray nurse, hygienist and dentist were all super friendly and very professional. The place and equipment looks nice and clean. We felt we were in very good hands. Common questions

What people ask before they book.

Do you take my insurance?

We work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. Bring your insurance information to your first visit so the claim can be sent straight away, and call 847-491-0880 if you want your cover checked first. Most insurers respond within four to six weeks.

I get nervous at the dentist. What can you do?

Say so when you book. Nitrous oxide is available: you breathe it in, stay in control and breathing on your own, and the depth can be turned up or down at any time with no hangover afterwards. It also helps with a strong gag reflex. You can ask for a five-minute trial first. It is not suitable if you have COPD.

Something hurts. Can I be seen today?

Call rather than emailing. If you have pain or an emergency, every attempt is made to see you that same day.

What happens at my first visit?

An examination and a review of your treatment options, and treatment can often start the same day. Bring any x-rays from a previous dentist, a list of the medications you take, and your insurance forms. Tell us about conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or artificial joints. Patients under 18 must come with a parent or guardian.

How do I pay?

Visa, MasterCard and Discover, and CareCredit. Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance, and a monthly payment plan can be arranged before a procedure. You receive a monthly statement.

When should my child first come in?

Just after their third birthday. The first visit is short: you may hold your child in the chair while we look at their teeth and gums, perhaps clean them and apply fluoride, and show you how to care for them at home.

My temporary crown came off. What do I do?

Call the office and bring the temporary with you so it can be re-cemented. Keeping it in place stops the neighbouring teeth moving before your final crown is fitted.

Where are you, and how do I get there?
